Introduction

Tripadvisor (the “Promoter”) is running this competition (referred to as “Promotion(s)”) on the Influencer Marketing Research Facebook, Instagram and X (Twitter) channels found at:

By entering any Promotion on the Survey Social Pages, each participant (“participant”) agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions, including all relevant entry instructions (the "Terms and Conditions").

Can I Participate?

Promotions are open to any Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter users accessing the Survey Social Pages that meet the entry criteria set out below and follow the relevant entry instructions.

  • Promotions are open to residents of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older to enter.

  • Participants must have a valid Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter account.

  • Entries must be received via the Survey Social Page advertisements.

Employees of the Promoter, their families, agents, and anyone directly connected to the administration of the Promotion, including without limitation employees of third-party prize suppliers, are excluded from taking part in the Promotion.

The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants and disqualify any participant who, in the Promoter's reasonable opinion, is ineligible. In the case of winners, the Promoter reserves the right to award their prize to another participant. The Promoter also reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize(s) if the participant is in breach of these Terms and Conditions.

How Can I Enter? - The Rules

  • The Promotion is free to enter, and no purchase is necessary to take part, but internet access and at least one valid Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter account is required.

  • To enter, participants must follow the entry instructions as outlined in the relevant post on the Survey Social Pages. Only by following these instructions are participants included in the Promotion. Participants will not receive confirmation from the Promoter that they have entered the Promotion.

  • Only one entry per person is allowed (based on name, address, email, and IP address). Any person submitting more than one entry will be disqualified for additional entries beyond their first entry.

  • No bulk or third-party entries are allowed.

Each Promotion will open from the time that the relevant contest post is made on the Survey Social Pages. The closing date for the Promotion will be specified in the contest post. Entries made after this time will not be valid, even if they appear to be registered. All entries will be time- and date-stamped. The closing date will also be visible on the survey URL.

Lost, delayed, undelivered, incomplete, or multiple entries will not be entered into the Promotion. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries, emails, or communications that are misdirected, lost, delayed, damaged, or corrupted during delivery to or from the Promoter due to any computer malfunction, virus, bug, delay, or other reason whatsoever. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.

All entries must be original and must not infringe or make unauthorised use of the rights of any third parties.

On submission of an entry, each participant grants the Promoter an unlimited, freely assignable, royalty-free licence in any intellectual property rights or other rights in their entry.

What Can I Win?

  • Prizes available for winning will be specified in the relevant post on the Survey Social Pages and Survey submission page, including the number of prizes available. The prize(s) are pooled across all pages.

  • Unless otherwise specified, winners will be drawn at random from all eligible entries.

  • One survey entry will be randomly selected (using random.org) and notified that they have won using the contact details they supply. A video recording of the process will be available upon request.

  • The winner(s) will be notified via an email and/or call from Pepper Studio Ltd (who are the Promoter’s marketing partners on this campaign) by the date specified in the relevant post on the Survey Social Pages and Survey Submission page.

  • The winner(s) must provide a postal address to receive their prize. The prize will be sent by post within 28 days of notification, unless there are unforeseen delays.

The prize is as stated in the contest post, with no cash alternative in whole or in part. It is non-transferable, not for resale, and cannot be exchanged or assigned. If a prize is unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter may offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

Any prize unclaimed after one week and after reasonable efforts by the Promoter to contact the winner will be redistributed through a repeated random selection process.

Personal Information

The Promoter will collect personal information to manage and administer this Promotion in accordance with its privacy policy. This includes contacting the participant via email and/or mobile telephone number and, if the participant is a winner, using their postal address to send the prize.

Personal information will be shared with Pepper Studio Ltd, which is administering this Promotion on behalf of the Promoter. Participants' data will only be held for the period necessary to administer the Promotion, unless they have opted in to receive further information from the Promoter.

Participants have the right to request the deletion of their personal data, and no personal data will be kept on record for longer than necessary.

Liability

To the fullest extent permissible by law, the Promoter, its agents, and distributors shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment whatsoever suffered or sustained as a result of participation in the Promotion, except where caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents, or distributors.

The Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. By entering the Promotion, participants agree to release these platforms from any liability associated with the Promotion.

General

The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the Promotion is final and binding.

Any participant posting comments that are considered bullying, spiteful, or upsetting to other participants or which disparage the Promoter will be disqualified. The Promoter reserves the right to alert Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to such behaviour, which may result in account suspension.

Owing to exceptional circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw, cancel, suspend, or amend any Promotion.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising in respect of a Promotion.

If there are reasonable grounds to believe a participant has breached these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, invalidate the relevant entry and disqualify the entrant, irrespective of the stage reached in the Promotion.
